Pursuant to the arrangement, Nicklaus Design aims to create an original 18 hole, Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, showcasing the very best of the organization’s design offerings. The professional-level golf-course, will be unique in Nassau, and will be an integral part of Baha-mar’s 1st round of construction.  According to the agreement, Baha-mar may request Nicklaus to create additional Signature Golf Courses either on the hotel grounds or at a nearby location.
The Nicklaus Signature Golf Property designed for Baha Mar will benefit from considerable involvement by Jack Nicklaus himself, who will travel occasionally to Nassau in order to oversee all design-related considerations and the course development. The golf-course, which will be located on the property and will be reached via a specially designed water-course, will offer a demanding playing-challenge to golfers of all abilities.

Bahamar is the exciting new multi-purpose resort complex now under construction on Cable Beach in Nassau, Bahamas.  The 1,000 acre property will boast branded hotels, the largest Las Vegas style casino in the Caribbean, large Convention facilities, and an 18 hole signature Jack Nicklaus golf course.  It is slated to open in December 2014

Bahamar construction: For the building’s girder and steel infrastructure, the company engaged  China’s Government Engineering Unit and invited  the Export-Import Bank of China to finance the development after a previous partner left. This is a first time international hotel construction project for either of the Chinese government-affiliated entities, officials said.  As agreed with the Bahamas labour authorities, the Company  will import about 7,500 labourers from China in stages. The undertaking  is also forecasted to generate about 4,000 job-roles for Bahamian natives.  The Chinese ambassador commented that “this project evidences the fact the wide geographical distance  between our two nations has not limited our closeness.”

Bahamar: Chinese and Bahamian authorities participated Monday as labourers started work  on what is touted as the largest hotel development of its kind  in the West Indies – a massive resort that will be financially backed and mostly built by Beijing.

Bahamar will be an approximately $3.5B facility  on New Providence island, and will hire some 7,000 labourers.  It is projected to generate  a 10% lift in the small country’s economic output according to the development company.  The grand design will include 4 hotels with a total of about 2,250 rooms , along with shopping plazas, golf amenities, and convention space,  and what the developer says will be the largest casino in the Caribbean.  Bahamar will open its doors in late 2014 and will focus on US visitors , who represent most of the Bahamian tourist target market, said Don Robinson, president of Baha Mar Ltd. In scope , it will be comparable to the Atlantis resort on P I. : however, that Sol Kerzner project was rolled out over a number of years, not in one take like Bahamar.  Robinson said the resort’s audacious goals is part of its market strategy: an effort to vie for  the people’s imagination and lure visitors who have ignored the Bahamas for other vacation spots. ”The vision  was a large destination resort  that would improve stop-overs,” he said in an interview with The AP Wire service before the proceedings began.  West Indian tourism  took a precipitous drop  with the recession, but there have been signs of life : Hotel room revenue  in the area  in comparison to 2009 , as reported by recent industry statistics.

Bahamian Riviera: Bahamar will be a sprawling 400 hectare resort complex slated to open in Nassau, Bahamas in December 2014.  The project was conceived and launched with the co-operation of the Bahamian government in an effort to bolster growing consumer indifference to the Bahamas tourist market.  The mega-resort project is expected to re-kindle interest in the Bahamas as premiere vacation destination and serve as an economic springboard for tourist market in the wider Caribbean region.  It is being positioned as ‘The Bahamian Rivieira” : a resort destination with standard hotel rooms for the bread & butter American  vacationer in addition to luxury suites, villas, and residences for a well-heeled international clientele.
